Outside of building the tradeshow booth there is a lot going on to get a tradeshow booth to and from the show. Let's use Vegas as an example.

  • Getting the booth out of storage and ready for shipping.

• Shipping

  • Getting the booth from the exhibit house to Vegas - the advance warehouse or straight to show site!

• Drayage/Material Handling

  • From the loading dock to the booth space takes a team. A team with a forklift.

• Setup

• Break Down

• Drayage

  • Getting the booth from the show floor back into the truck.

• Shipping

• Storage

  • Opening the crates, making sure everything is there!

Not mentioned is the Discount Date. What is that? It is the day that services (rigging, electricity, cleaning, etc.) that have to be ordered for the tradeshow to go off without a hitch. If your exhibit house isn't talking to you about these items you should ask why.
