When people think about a trade show exhibit, they picture bold graphics, glowing LED walls, clean finishes, and packed aisles. What they rarely picture is the crate.
This photo shows one of the most important parts of any exhibit build: the custom shipping crate. It isn’t glamorous, but it’s essential. Without it, everything else is at risk.

Why Crating Matters More Than You Think
Trade show exhibits don’t travel gently. They’re loaded, unloaded, stacked, shifted, forklifted, and moved again. Often multiple times. A poorly designed crate can turn months of design and fabrication into costly repairs or missed deadlines. A properly designed crate does the opposite. It protects the investment. Every crate we build is engineered specifically for the exhibit components it carries. Dimensions, weight distribution, internal blocking, and access points are all intentional. Nothing inside is left to chance.
Built for the Real World
This crate was designed to handle real-world logistics:
Forklift access from multiple sides
Reinforced base for weight distribution
Internal blocking to prevent movement in transit
Durable materials that hold up over repeated shows
The goal is simple: the exhibit should arrive exactly as it left our shop. No surprises. No damage. No last-minute fixes on the show floor.
Designed for Reuse, Not One-Time Use
Trade shows aren’t one-and-done. Exhibits move from city to city, year after year. Our crates are built with longevity in mind, so clients aren’t rebuilding or re-crating every season.
A well-built crate becomes part of the exhibit system. It saves time during install and dismantle, protects assets long-term, and reduces overall ownership costs.
The Details That Protect the Big Picture
Anyone can design something that looks good under perfect conditions. Real expertise shows up in what happens before the show opens and after it closes.
This crate represents:
Planning beyond aesthetics
Respect for client investment
Experience with real logistics, not theory
It’s one of those details most people never notice, but it’s one we never overlook.
Built to Travel. Built to Last.
At the end of the day, exhibits don’t just need to look good. They need to survive the journey.
This crate is how that happens.
