Yes it's that time of year again. But it's not a day for me. It's a way of life.
Yesterday I was driving into an iconic American location to break down an exhibit that is moving to a new location. I stopped for a moment to take it all in. How cool is this industry?
Yes - we work through the "back of the house" on displays that are public facing. (Note: If you have a high-vis vest on, carrying a ladder and a tool box - you can get into anyplace you want - in fact people will hold the door for you!)
Yes - the work is not glamorous to get it all done. Lot's of cleaning, working on ladders, adjusting carpeting and long days to get all these amazing displays done.
And when I mention amazing displays I am not talking about just Exhibit Associates displays & exhibits, but any exhibit or display done by any of the design/build shops across this great country.
Look at the graphics as you walk through an airport. Or a mall. Or a museum. Some one had to design it, build it, and install it. And of course pay for it.
So Thanksgiving Day comes once a year. But for me, at Exhibit Associates, everyday I am thankful for our clients and our team. Clients to have the vision and our team to make it a reality. And give thanks that I get to be a part of it all!
